MALAGA… For The Spanish Tourist

A Spanish
Vacation
Destination

Most international tourists skip Malaga in favor of Granada and the Alhambra, Cordoba for the Great Mosque and Seville for the history.

Malaga is the second largest city in Andalucia and capital of the Costa del Sol, where northern Europeans come every year for some sunshine. Malaga's airport is one of the busiest in Spain and in a typical year can welcome up to 10 million. These visitors are heading for the Costa del Sol and many will never see Malaga, but this city has more to offer than just seaside and sunshine. For the Spanish, this is the place for a great vacation!

City of Contrasts

Malaga, a gem of a city with a
fascinating old quarter, Roman theatre and Moorish palace. A few minutes walk north from the historic centre takes you to the beach area of Marquette and the Plaza de Toros, built in 1874 by the architect Joaquin Ruchbah.
